Gee, I wonder if the fact that posioned wheat could make it into pet food has anything to do with the drastic funding cuts Bush and the Republican congress handed out to the FDA. I mean, if you cut back on inspections of meat that humans are going to eat, how much is getting spent on what dogs and cats eat?

This is a great tragedy for the thousands who have lost their pets to the poisoned foods, and it's a great hassle to every one of us pet owners who are trying to feed their pets healthily, but did we just majorly dodge a bullet in that it could have just as easily been imported human food that had been tained with poison?

Don't expect the mainstream media to ask such questions anytime soon.
