Justice delayed isn't so bad after all

A while back, I wrote about the capture and prosecution of Jesus Mezquia, the man who raped and murdered Mia Zapata -- singer for The Gits, Antiochian, and all-around nice person.

GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, MOTHERFUCKER

Mezquia has been convicted. And a courtroom full of Mia's friends and fans cheered.

His lawyer's got an appeal planned, as is his sworn duty, but no matter how the court case turns out, I doubt Mezquia's going to enjoy the next few thousand years very much.
