Mar. 22nd, 2003 09:02 pmMemo to George Bush:
Not only do you suck so badly that you lost a popularity contest with Saddam Hussein, you suck so badly that Crips for Peace and Thugz fo' Peace were marching against you and your war today. When gangbangers think you're too violent, you know you have a problem.
Love, Dan
I marched today. It took a while to start marching, because the line of us stretched from Times Square to Union Square. For out-of-towners, that's 42 St to 14 St, or a shade under 1.5 miles.
They said that now that the war's begun, only the die-hards would still protest. They were wrong. I walked next to:
So. Let the records show that at today's peace march there were signs that were:
Let the record show that not one anti-soldier sign or chant was to be found.
Therefore let us have an end to pro-war people telling us to support the troops as if we don't. - Several young gangbangers marching under a banner reading "Crips for Peace" [I swear I am not making this up.] and wearing t-shirts calling Bush "Thug" and "Wanksta."
- An elderly gentleman who pulled out his World War II uniform, a silent invitation to anyone to dare question his patriotism.
- White middle-class american families, 2.3 kids and all.
- A young woman in business appropriate attire.
- So many more...
So. Let the records show that at today's peace march there were signs that were:
